Our Mission

Church Therapy Associates is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that exists to provide low cost, clinical mental health services in church and Christian college settings and to provide training for Master’s-level counselors seeking to specialize in Christian integration.

Meet Our Board

Dr. Kristen Kansiewicz, LMHC, LPC – Board President and Executive Director

Kristen has served as a counselor in church settings since 2005. She has a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wheaton College (IL). She has been supervising Master’s-level counseling students since 2012 and is passionate about church/clergy mental health and wellness. Kristen is currently an assistant professor of counseling at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and is licensed as a counselor in both Massachusetts and Missouri.

Dr. Jamie Booth – co-Vice President

Jamie is the Executive Pastor at Calvary Christian Church in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, a growing church on the North Shore of Boston. Serving as a pastor for over 14 years, Jamie comes to the CTA board with a deep passion and love for the church.  In addition to his years of pastoral ministry, Jamie holds degrees from Central Bible College, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and completed his Doctor of Ministry at Talbot School of Theology.  Along with his wife Rebecca, and two sons Jack and Lucas, he resides in Peabody, Massachusetts.

Emily Urbina – co-Vice President

Emily is the pastor of discipleship at East Coast International Church and a grant writer for the Haven Project in Lynn. Her background is in education in multicultural and 3rd-world contexts, and she received her BA in Education with a focus on Adult education. She is bilingual and has experience in ESL and administration of non-profits.

Paul Domigan – Treasurer

Paul is continuing his training in clinical psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary after graduating from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a MA in Counseling. He is excited to continue to pursue his second career after an excellent first career in developing and commercializing medical imaging technologies.

 

Elizabeth Oh – Secretary

Liz served as the first counseling intern under Kristen’s supervision at Northpoint Bible College. She graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Master of Arts in Religion. She currently works in higher education and has an interest in spiritual direction and chaplaincy.

 

Matt Warren, LMHC – Board Member

Matt is the co-founder and Executive Director of Harbor Christian Counseling in Boston, MA.  He received his training at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Counseling.  Matt is committed to building partnerships between mental health providers and the local church and creating spaces for excellent faith-based clinical counseling services particularly in urban contexts.

Cynthia Fisher, LMHC, LMFT – Board Member

Cynthia is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Mental Health Counselor and is the founder and director of Quadra Counseling Associates in Beverly, Massachusetts. She is passionate about seeing wholeness and restoration in her clients’ lives and marriages.  Her marital/family experience ranges from pre-marital counseling, marriage enrichment, and blended families to affair recovery counseling.  Cynthia also sees individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, IPV, and various mood disorders.  She loves equipping women and men who are in emotionally abusive relationships to increase their confidence and understand and exercise emotionally healthy boundaries.  Additionally, Cynthia is trained in EMDR.  She loves working with men and women over 55 and strives to help them adapt to many of the milestones they face as they enter into this new season of life. Cynthia received her Masters in Counseling from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and is currently a Ph.D. student at Regent University in the Counselor Education and Supervision program.
Bonnie Prizio, LMHC, DMin – Clinical Supervisor
Bonnie graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 2005. She specializes in assisting with trauma, abuse, anxiety and panic disorders and has completed doctoral work in the area of abuse recovery. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional . She is also trained to utilize Prepare/Enrich–an assessment tool useful for premarital and marital counseling. Bonnie has training in the integration of Christian spirituality into clinical treatment as appropriate and desired by clients. Additionally, she has served as a group supervisor for practicum and internship students at Gordon Conwell.
